Calm Banana is my personal site and blog. It's running on Wordpress and I created the theme from scratch. The biggest challenge was making sure the layout worked cross-browser, but I successfully managed to produce an image-less layout which put all the focus on the content.

Spacebase

Spacebase was a two-part development. One part required turning an XHTML / CSS mockup into a fully-functional Wordpress theme. The second part required turning a mockup into a working Plogger image gallery theme.

Operation Simple Plan

Operation Simple Plan is a band fansite which is also running on Wordpress. The design was created from scratch and uses bright colours and a grunge-style font to make the layout more appealing to a predominantly teenage audience.

About Me

Hi my name is Rachael, and on a good day I can name all 91 HTML 4 elements in 5 minutes. I'm an enthusiastic worker with a passion for web standards. I'm great at making accessible sites which work cross-browser (including IE6), and I'm good with usability as well. Buzzwords aside, I take pride in the quality of my work, and I would love to work for a company where I can use my knowledge and reach my full potential. (I also enjoy long walks in the park, and copious amounts of live music.)
